I'm Lauren Yax, a Licensed Educational Psychologist. I have worked in various school districts across LA, Orange, and Marin counties. I hold a B.A from Saint Mary’s Notre Dame in Psychology, an M.A. in Educational Psychology, and an Ed.S. degree in School Psychology from Chapman University.

I am passionate about helping families better understand their child’s strengths and weaknesses and implement actionable steps to support their growth. My goal through assessment is twofold, 1. to understand how your child learns 2. provide recommendations and strategies to help your child thrive.

I founded Wonderfully Made to provide quality services to children and families that are thorough, compassionate, personalized, and empowering. I am a strengths-based clinician, which means that I acknowledge all individuals have unique strengths, interests, and support needs that do not need to be “fixed.”

I have worked with students with special needs from preschool through adulthood. I am prepared to support families in navigating the public education system.

Besides evaluating for learning disabilities (dyslexia/dysgraphia/ dyscalculia), ADHD, processing issues, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and other diagnoses that interfere with learning, I have a passion for coaching parents who have questions about the educational system and how to navigate it for their child. I provide guidance and develop a plan!​​​​
